## Viewing Your Current Plan

Go to **Settings > Plan**. You'll see your current plan, billing period, usage stats, and payment history.

## Upgrading or Downgrading

Change your plan at any time from **Settings > Plan**.

- **Upgrades** take effect immediately
- **Downgrades** apply at the end of your current billing period

## Updating Your Payment Method

Add or update your credit card in **Settings > Plan**. Changes apply to all future charges.

## Understanding Usage

Monitor your usage against your plan limits on the billing page:

- **Active clients** -- how many clients you have vs. your plan's included count. Additional clients are billed [per active client](https://www.liftedwork.com/pricing), and a client only counts while it is active.
- **AI tokens** -- tokens used for AI processing this billing cycle vs. your plan's allocation. Most of this comes from [Lifty](https://www.liftedwork.com/features/lifty-ai-assistant) and from any [playbooks](https://www.liftedwork.com/features/ai-playbooks) running on a schedule.

## Viewing Invoices

View and download past invoices from the billing page. Each invoice shows the billing period, amount, and payment status.

## If a Payment Fails

- Go to **Settings > Plan** and update your payment method
- Retry the charge from the billing page
- The system will attempt to charge the updated card
- If payment continues to fail, your account may be marked as **past due** -- update your card to resolve this

[Contact support](https://www.liftedwork.com/contact) if billing issues persist after updating your payment method.

## Frequently asked questions

### Who can change the Lifted Work plan or payment method?

An agency Admin can manage the plan, card, invoices, and billing status from Settings > Plan. Managers, Employees, and Workers do not have billing access.

### When does a Lifted Work plan downgrade take effect?

A downgrade applies at the end of the current billing period. An upgrade takes effect immediately, so check the plan details and active-client usage before confirming a change.

### What should I do after a subscription payment fails?

Update the payment method in Settings > Plan, retry the charge from the billing page, and confirm the invoice status changes. Contact support if the retry still fails or the account remains past due.
