How to Use Filters to Find Any Task
How filters, date ranges, and views control which tasks you see, and how to reset them to find what you're looking for.
1 Check Your Active Filters
The most common reason a task seems missing is an active filter. The task view remembers your last filter settings, so you may be looking at a filtered subset without realizing it. Check each of these:
- Date range – if you’re viewing the current month but the task is due next month, it won’t appear. Navigate forward by month to check.
- Status filter – a “To Do” filter hides completed tasks
- Client filter – you might be viewing a specific client’s tasks only
- Person filter – filtered to a specific team member’s assignments
2 Reset All Filters
Click the filter area and clear all active filters. You can also use the search bar to find tasks by name, but note that search works within your other active filters. Clear client and status filters first if you want to search across everything.
3 Check Completed Tasks
Toggle the view to show completed tasks. The task may have been marked done by a team member or auto-completed by the AI.
4 Check Other Client Views
If you manage multiple clients, the task might be under a different client than you expect. Switch between client views to check.
5 Still Can’t Find It?
Check with your team – someone may have reassigned, merged, or deleted the task. Admins can see all tasks across the agency, so ask an admin to search if you’re stuck.
